Participants observing astronomical objects with a 35cm telescope This observation session was held for the first time for junior high school students and their families, but it was so popular that it reached capacity within a few days after applications began, and participants asked many enthusiastic questions. It was a very enjoyable meeting.
Regarding this event, Deputy Director Norihito Sato, Vice President and URA, who serves as General Manager of the General Technology Department, said, “I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who participated in the observation session.Space is an exciting and interesting space not only for children but also for adults. The world.In order to promote the development of research and technology that will make space more familiar and part of everyday life, our university is publishing an overview of Okayama University’s space strategy.At this observation event, children became interested in space. I would like to continue to promote various initiatives so that we can make our dreams bigger.”
In the future, the General Technology Department will continue to take up themes that allow children to enjoy science and hold on-site experiments and hands-on classes using on-campus facilities.
