Sapporo City will launch the “Sapporo SDGs Company Registration System” to “visualize” companies in the city that are working towards achieving SDGs through their corporate activities.
Sapporo City supports companies that strive for sustainable corporate growth, using the solution to social issues such as global warming as an engine!

For companies to work on the SDGs is beneficial as a business strategy in terms of creating new business opportunities, improving brand image, securing human resources, etc.
Additionally, the concept of evaluating the sustainability of corporate management has become widespread, and ESG investing, which is investment that takes into account not only traditional financial information but also environmental, social, and governance factors, is attracting attention along with SDGs.
In Sapporo City, in order to support companies that consider SDGs as a management strategy and engage in sustainable corporate management, Sapporo City sets management policies to achieve the SDGs, declares priority initiatives and goals in line with management policies, and promotes the development of their own companies. Through self-checks of SDGs-related initiatives, the city will register and “visualize” companies that meet the standards.

(*Please check the proposal manual for each project as there may be cases where points will not be added.)
