Kyushu Railway Company (hereinafter referred to as JR Kyushu) is pleased to announce the “Kiha 40 Series Diesel Train Driving Experience” tour to be held at the Kokura General Rolling Stock Center. This is a very popular event that has sold out within minutes on all previous dates.
In addition, we will once again set up a “special event for loyal customers” day for those who are participating in this project for the second time or later!
Would you like to experience the work of a driver who supports safe and stable railway transportation on a daily basis? !

・Cancellations can be made without charge up to 11 days before the participation date. Cancellations and refunds are not possible after that time.
・Participants cannot be changed, so the reservation will be rebooked after cancellation.
*Please present your identification documents at the reception on the day. Please note that if the application information and the participant are different, you will be refused participation.
・If the alcohol test exceeds our standards for driving, you will not be able to participate in the “driving experience.” Also at that time There are no refunds.
・There will be no accompanying tour conductor for this project. (A staff member will guide you on-site.)
– Applicants for the driving experience must meet the following conditions, as there will be handling of the vehicle, going up and down stairs and the vehicle, etc.

・Due to various circumstances such as bad weather, the event may be canceled. (Rain or shine)
・While driving, a staff member may assist you by providing assistance. Please note.
・You may not touch any equipment inside the vehicle without
instructions from the staff.
・For your safety, please follow the instructions of the staff. In the event of behavior or behavior that threatens safety, or where there is a risk of such behavior,

・Persons wearing wide-hemmed clothing such as skirts, high-heeled shoes, sandals, or thick-soled shoes are not allowed to participate. Please be careful as your clothes may become stained with oil etc. – We are not responsible for accidents, injuries, or damage to clothing or belongings caused by customer carelessness.
・On the day of the event, we will be taking pictures and recording for PR purposes. In addition, there may be filming by media such as television stations. Please note.
・There are some places where taking photos and videos is restricted. Taking pictures without permission is strictly prohibited. Also, you cannot take photos outside the vehicle during the driving experience. – An attendant can take a commemorative photo during the driving experience inside the vehicle. Please bring your camera etc. However, please be careful not to interfere with the driving experience or be a nuisance to other participants.
・If you cannot arrive by the meeting time, you will not be able to participate. ・There is no smoking area inside the vehicle center.
・Large luggage such as stepladders cannot be brought into the vehicle center. ・In case of rain, please prepare your own rain gear.
・ “Kokura Factory Railway Land (museum, shop)” is not open.
Additionally, the cafeteria and railway parts sales will not be open. Please note.
