A shop where conceptor Etsumi Nagao proposes denim styles that reflect “current mood.”
“Denim” is an item that everyone should have in their wardrobe, and it is loved through the ages and is not only a basic item, but also essential for completing a highly sensitive style.
In order to spread the knowledge and value of Vintage denim to women, The selection of Vintage denim is supervised by Yutaka Fujiwara, director of the long-established vintage shop “BerBerJin.”
We have a selection of valuable vintage denim items that cannot be found anywhere else, and select items from all over the world to complete your highly sensitive denim style. We aim to be a modern and sophisticated Denim Shop.
THENIME: The name is a combination of “NIME”, which refers to the Nimes region in southern France, where Denim fabric was born, and “THE”, which represents the American atmosphere where Denim style was born.

YOSHIMI NAGAO
She has worked as a shop staff member at a select shop since she was 18 years old, and since 2012 has worked as a buyer at Takashimaya’s select shop “STYLE&EDIT”, and has been appointed as the creative director of Takashimaya’s women’s fashion department since spring 2020. In addition to product buying, seasonal direction, and collaboration planning with brands, he is active in a wide range of fields, including concurrently serving as an external director while working at a department store. Currently serving as a judge for the Fashion Prize of Tokyo. Started working as a freelance creative director in September 2022.

Yutaka Fujiwara/YUTAKA FUJIHARA
Born in 1977. He is the director of Harajuku’s vintage shop “Berbelzine.” He is a driving force behind the recent vintage boom, and has used his wealth of knowledge to produce and plan products for many brands, and has been distributing them on YouTube from an early stage. He has also published books and is the supervisor of “the501xx a collection of vintage jeans” and “Levi’s VINTAGE DENIM JACKETS Type l/Type ll/Typel lll.”
