On August 28, 2023, a talk show by Yutaka Takagi and Mitsuru Manaka was held to commemorate the Toto University Baseball 2023 Fall League Match Matsuyama. In the second half, Ehime Prefecture Governor Tokihiro Nakamura joined in, and baseball discussions flourished. Mr. Takagi spent his childhood in Ozu City, where he became obsessed with baseball and was deeply moved by the legendary game between Matsuyama Commercial and Misawa High School. He wanted to play high school baseball. On the other hand, Mr. Manaka had many contacts with Matsuyama at camps and games during his time with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows. The baseball discussion, in which Mr. Takagi and Mr. Manaka were joined by Ehime Prefecture Governor Tokihiro Nakamura, talked a lot about not only Ehime baseball, but also the appeal of baseball.
