“Geo-gastronomy tourism” initiatives
Kagawa Prefecture is a region with a unique geology formed by the Seto Inland Sea and the Sanuki Plain.
“GEO” is a story that connects Kagawa Prefecture’s topography, climate and natural features (GEO) with the food culture nurtured by the local ingredients and customs, through the development of food menus and the creation of sightseeing tours.・We are working on “gastronomy tourism.”
Setouchi Sanuki Geo Gourmet Presentation
Aiming to develop a “Geo Gourmet” that incorporates plenty of local ingredients that symbolize Kagawa Prefecture’s geo-gastronomy tourism, the course menu, which was realized with the cooperation of a representative local chef, was unveiled for the first time at this presentation. Ta.
Some menu items will also be demonstrated on stage.
We enjoyed each dish while listening to explanations of the geostories surrounding each ingredient.

Setouchi Sanuki Geo Gastronomy Tourism Study Group
It was launched mainly by Kagawa University. (Chairman: Shuichi Hasegawa, Specially Appointed Professor, Kagawa University)
It is made up of cooperative organizations in various fields such as Kagawa Prefecture, tourism, and food, including the Kagawa Prefecture Tourism Association, Geolib Research Institute, and Anabuki Travel. This project has been selected and implemented by the Japan Tourism Agency as part of the “Regional Integrated Gastronomy Tourism Promotion Project”.
