Mashikokan begins selling “Mashiko Gelato” using local ingredients at “Forest Cafe ~Mashiro~”
*Mashikodate Satoyama Resort Hotel (hereinafter referred to as Mashikodate), an inn in Mashiko Town, Haga District, Tochigi Prefecture, will start selling gelato at “Mori no Cafe ~Mashiro~” from September 3rd (Tuesday). *
What is “Mashiko Gelato”?
These sweets were created with the hope that those visiting Mashikokan would be able to experience the charm of Mashiko Town and Tochigi Prefecture’s food through gelato.
You can fully enjoy the local charm with gelato made with ingredients such as bananas grown in Mashiko Town.
Sales have started at “Mori no Café ~Mashiro~” next to the Mashikokan lobby. Suggesting ways to enjoy “Sauna x Gelato”
As for how to enjoy gelato, we recommend eating “Mashiko Gelato” after getting ready in the sauna to refresh yourself.
We propose “sauna x gelato” such as Oropo and sameshi, and Mashikokan offers various ways to enjoy after sauna.

At the pottery market, you can purchase works by artists and pottery, but you can also enjoy a wide variety of gourmet food. We are currently preparing to open a store there.

This cafe opened in April of this year next to the Mashikokan lobby with the idea that “we want people to experience an extraordinary experience that feels like relaxing in the forest.” In addition to gelato and oropo after sauna, you can also enjoy food and drinks using Mashiko ware, a specialty of Mashiko Town.
