On August 8, 2024, JOGMEC signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) with the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter “Kazakhstan”) to promote cooperation in the metal sector.

Ichiro Takahara held a meeting with Minister of Industry and Construction Sharlapayev in Astana, Kazakhstan on August 8, 2024, and concluded an MOC aimed at promoting cooperation in the metal sector. Under this MOC, JOGMEC and the Ministry of Industry and Construction aim to strengthen their cooperative relationship in comprehensive areas such as strengthening exploration and development, effective use of mineral resources, and promoting the development of secondary raw material processing technology (Note).
