“First in Saga Prefecture!!” Demonstration experiment of electric kickboard sharing service begins

Hideaki (hereinafter referred to as “BRJ”) will begin a demonstration experiment of an electric scooter sharing service in Saga City, Saga Prefecture from Sunday, September 8, 2024 to Sunday, December 8, 2024. *
This project will be implemented by the Saga City Small Mobility Promotion Platform (*1), in which our company participates.
* ■Background*
In Saga City, SAGA Arena opened in SAGA Sunrise Park in May 2023, and approximately 490,000 people visited the venue in a year. From September to October of this year, it is expected to be crowded with many visitors as the main venue for the National Sports Festival and the National Sports Festival for People with Disabilities. However, the distance from the nearest Saga Station to the arena is
approximately 1.5 km, and the main means of transportation are buses, taxis, and walking. As a result, most visitors make a round trip between Saga Station and SAGA Arena, limiting the economic ripple effect on surrounding areas and the city center.
This project will introduce a sharing service for small mobility vehicles (electric scooters) in order to diversify transportation methods and increase freedom in route selection. Through this, we aim to improve the ease of movement within the area, expand the flow of people created by the opening of the arena to the central city area, and expand the economic ripple effect.

Period: September 8th (Sunday) – December 8th (Sunday), 2024 Port location: North and south sides of Saga Station (subject to change) Number of devices deployed: 10 electric kickboards
Usage fee: 300 yen for every 30 minutes, additional package fees of 500 yen for 1 hour and 1,000 yen for 3 hours (all tax included)

Early November 2024 – SAGA Sunrise Park
In collaboration with the Saga Ballooners, a professional basketball team based in Saga City, we will also work to raise awareness of safe use through PR activities during home games and trial ride events. * ■Company profile*
