CAFE (Kramae Canelé Cafe) will start offering a lunch menu where you can enjoy canelé as a meal for a limited time from Tuesday, September 10th to Monday, October 14th (holiday). *

It was devised by Tomo Matsuura, a food creator with a French background who created the premium canelé “Grand Canelé,” in pursuit of the “true deliciousness” that you can tell with just one bite of both the ingredients and the taste. For this lunch, we will propose a new way to eat canelé, not just sweets.

At CANNELE, food creator Hiroki Matsuura has developed a lunch menu that introduces you to the new appeal of canelé as a “meal.” KURAMAE As CANNELE’s first meal menu, it will be offered for a limited time and in limited quantities.
The theme of KURAMAE CANNELE’s first meal menu is “Lunch typical of KURAMAE CANNELE.”

At CANNELE, we have been developing sweets that can provide “authentic taste” that you can intuitively feel delicious. KURAMAE takes pride in its commitment to quality ingredients and delicious flavors even for lunch, and is surprising when you put it in your mouth.
A CANNELE-like menu has been created.
The lunch menu was developed by Tomo Matsuura, who also devised the recipe for the premium canelé “Grand Canelé.” Matsuura is active not only in sweets but also in a wide range of fields including Italian, Japanese, and French cuisine, and this time he put his knowledge and skills to use in this lunch.
Enjoy an extraordinary, high-quality lunch experience for a small gathering or to treat yourself.
* ■Two types of lunch made for Grand Canelé *
KURAMAE
For CANNELE’s first lunch, you can choose the main dish from “Cannele-specific egg quiche” or “Beef Bolognese Lasagna.” The set includes homemade charcuterie, side dishes made with seasonal fruits and vegetables, seasonal cold potage, and tea soda.
*Tea soda*
We will prepare tea soda (non-alcoholic) for toasting before your meal, with the idea that “we want you to enjoy luxurious time for yourself from daytime”. A tea soda made with slightly stronger black tea and added sweetness is perfect as a tea pairing for Grand Canelé.
* Seasonal cold potage *
We have prepared a cold potage using seasonal golden sweet potatoes. You can enjoy the original taste of sweet potato ingredients. * Seasonal vegetable and fruit side dishes *
We have prepared 3 types: “Greek marinated plums and feta cheese”, “millet and pumpkin salad”, and “shine muscat smørrebrød”. *Contents may change depending on purchasing status.

Marinated seasonal plums and Greek feta cheese. Enjoy the balance of tart plums and salty feta cheese.

A salad using autumnal pumpkin. Enjoy it with the chewy texture of the grains.

Smørrebrød is an open-faced sandwich eaten in Northern Europe. Luxuriously topped with Shine Muscat, an autumn specialty.
* Homemade charcuterie *
This is one of the French-born chef’s proud creations.
Charcuterie is a French word that refers to processed meat in general, and is a part of France’s traditional food culture. KURAMAE
CANNELE’s charcuterie features homemade jambon blanc. Jambon blanc stands for “Jambon = thigh meat” and “Blanc = white” and refers to boiled pork ham. This time I used Shirokane pork arm meat from Iwate Prefecture. The firm and chewy arm meat is perfect for ham, where you can feel the flavor even more. Please enjoy it wrapped in premium canelé “Grand Canelé”.

A quiche made with CANNELE’s original “cannele-specific eggs.” Quiche is usually baked in one layer, but KURAMAE
At CANNELE, we baked it in two layers. It looks hearty, but the taste is light, and the thicker dough allows you to fully enjoy the texture. * B: Beef Bolognese Lasagna & Grand Canelé *
Bolognese made with domestic beef shank. Minced shank meat, which is tough but has a strong flavor. It is slowly simmered with dried tomatoes for about an hour. It’s a hearty dish that satisfies both your heart and stomach.
