“Senior Ieido”, a design workshop where you can learn about the diversity of seniors and the elderly, will be offered in fall 2024 for companies working on diversity and inclusion

We are pleased to announce that we will create a product based on Aika’s original idea and begin providing it to companies and organizations.
*About “Senior”*
CULUMU is an inclusive design studio operated by STYZ Inc. that co-creates with diverse people and society. So far, we have provided support for new businesses based on social issues and design support for businesses that address D&I. In addition, Syncable, a donation platform for NPOs, has a growing community of over 4,000 NPOs/NGOs and over 180,000 donors.
We are planning to offer a workshop called “Seniors” in the fall of 2024, which aims to generate new ideas on the theme of diversity and social issues among seniors and the elderly.
This workshop project was started because CULUMU’s CDO Shunsuke Kawai works as a part-time lecturer at Shibaura Institute of Technology, and he connected with Manika Sato, who was doing research on seniors and the elderly at the same university’s graduate school. I did. Manika Sato will serve as the original designer of this project and will work with CULUMU on product planning and improvements for “Senior Iedo”. CULUMU will continue to work with companies and organizations promoting D&I to provide designs that address social issues and create a more inclusive future.

In recent years, we have come across many topics related to seniors and the elderly, such as “elderly drivers,” “receiving a pension,” and “elderly care.” Based on the hypothesis that the stereotype that elderly people = negative is spreading, we have developed a new card that summarizes seniors and elderly users who should be included in the future.
By using this card, you can realize through work what kind of seniors are included or excluded from your company’s services and businesses, and create new ideas and plans that focus on user diversity. , service issues, and areas for improvement.
Additionally, after participating in the workshop, we will provide you with a toolkit, so you can continue to work on it within your company.
