National University Corporation Okayama University held the 1st Inheritance and Bequest Seminar on September 4, 2024, at the 50th Anniversary Hall on the University’s Tsushima Campus. This seminar was organized in collaboration with Bank of Chugoku, Ltd. and targeted local residents and teachers concerned about inheritance issues.
At the seminar, Vice President Satoshi Mimura of Okayama University delivered a lecture on the importance of early preparations for the appropriate handover of assets. Following this, Tamotsu Otsuka, a Financial Advisor from the Chugoku Bank Consulting Department, explained inheritance measures in detail. He also introduced bequest donations as a way to support the Okayama University Gakuto Fund.
After the seminar, an individual consultation session was provided by the Bank of China, where participants received answers to their specific inquiries. The seminar ended positively, with participants actively engaging in discussions.
The Okayama University Academic Fund Office plans to hold another seminar in November. The University remains committed to offering valuable information to the community and continues to serve as a core and distinctive research institution in the region.
