On the day of the game, Yumiko Udo, a freelance announcer from the Kansai region and avowedly a fan of the Hanshin Tigers, will appear on the mound at Hanshin Koshien Stadium for the first pitch ceremony. In May 2022, he attempted to throw the ceremonial first pitch for the first time in his life at a J:COM sponsored game, and this will be his second time. Dressed in uniforms with the number “100” commemorating the 100th anniversary of the opening of Hanshin Koshien Stadium, they will liven up the venue with their best pitches, hoping for a victory for the Hanshin Tigers.

This is my second time attempting to throw the first pitch at Hanshin Koshien Stadium. I’m really happy. Last year’s Hanshin Tigers won the league championship in a “super quick” manner, but this year they are taking more time than last year to slowly show off their strengths, so I’m looking forward to the game on the day. As this is the first pitch ceremony, I will do my best to convey the feelings of the fans to the players.
In addition, J:COM wants children to become familiar with sports-based entertainment, so elementary school students selected in advance from among the applicants presented flowers to Hanshin Tigers players and held inter-inning events. We also plan to participate in “Truckee Challenge Time”.
The match will be broadcast live on “Sky A” (J:COM TV 400ch) from 13:45 on Monday, September 16th (holiday), as well as on J:COM Customers who subscribe to TV*1 can enjoy live viewing*2 on their tablets and smartphones. Furthermore, so that not only those watching the game on-site, but also those watching the game through the broadcast, can enjoy it, if you fill out a questionnaire and request information on the special site, you will be entered into a lottery to win a Hanshin Tigers uniform signed by Yumiko Udo.
