Ogawa Ito
Born in 1973. Debuted in 2008 with “Shokudo Snail”. The Snail Diner was made into a film and won the Bancarella Award in Italy in 2011 and the Eugenie Brasier Award in France in 2013. In 2012, “Tsurukame Midwives”, in 2017, “Tsubaki Stationery Store”, and in 2020, “Lion’s Oyatsu” were made into dramas on NHK.
“Lion’s Snacks” won 2nd place in the 2020 Bookstore Award. Other works include “Speaking,” “Family Tree,” “Ribbon,” “Kira Kira Republic,” and “Tsubaki no Koibumi.”
