Toyama rice story Toyama, the rice producer
Abundant snowmelt water from the Tateyama Mountain Range of the Northern Alps flows through many rapid rivers, including the seven major rivers, and irrigates the Toyama plains. The water, which is rich in minerals, not only makes the land fertile, but also cools the rice plants even in the hot summer months.
Toyama residents are known for their hard work and tenacity. Their seriousness and tenacity are put to good use in the time-consuming process of rice production. We grow delicious Toyama rice using the techniques and sincerity we have cultivated over many years as a rice producer.
