We would like to inform you that we have concluded a “cooperation agreement” (as of September 2, 2024) with
This agreement states that Chiba University Hospital and the BodyBase Chiba University Hospital Mae Inohana Terrace Store, which is located adjacent to the hospital, will mutually agree to the following matters through establishing appropriate exercise habits and improving eating habits. By working together, we aim to maintain patients’ health and improve the effectiveness of treatment.
[Main initiatives through mutual collaboration]
– Implementation of group exercise guidance and seminars, etc. – Development and provision of original programs according to target diseases – Personal guidance (individual exercise/nutrition
guidance)/individual counseling
– Verification of outcomes obtained from the program, etc. – Other matters necessary to achieve these objectives.
Regarding the above, we will proceed in consultation and collaboration with Chiba University Hospital.
* ~Example of initiatives~*
“Group exercise classes” are held regularly for patients in diabetes, metabolism, and endocrinology.
Practice stretching, core exercises, resistance training, aerobic exercise, etc. Providing correct exercise knowledge that is key to how to move your body and create posture
[BodyBase initiatives through collaboration]
BodyBase has a training philosophy of “supporting fundamental improvements in exercise and eating habits, improving the customer’s physical and even mental state, and helping to change their lives for the better.” We provide support through personal training guidance services to improve health, sports performance, and chronic conditions such as lower back pain and knee pain.
In response to this collaboration agreement, we will collaborate with each clinical department to provide the utmost professional and safe care that we have cultivated over many years to patients whose symptoms are expected to improve through exercise guidance (and nutritional guidance). We aim to improve the effectiveness of treatment by providing a carefully considered “appropriate exercise program.”
~Group exercise class~
As a precursor to this collaboration, we are holding group exercise classes for diabetes, metabolism, and endocrinology. For example, many obese patients also have co-occurring diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure, and exercise plays an important role as one way to improve their symptoms.
Among them, resistance training and aerobic exercise are effective for reducing body fat mass. On the other hand, the effect is not achieved by short-term implementation, but the key is how to make exercise a “daily habit”. However, although many people understand the need for exercise, they still have factors such as “I don’t know the correct way to exercise or the best way to exercise that fits my lifestyle,” or “I have chronic pain such as stiff shoulders, lower back pain, or knee pain.” has become a “barrier to continuing exercise.”
Therefore, the exercise classes provided by BodyBase do not just provide a place to exercise;
– Knowledge to reduce body fat
– Knowledge about resistance training and aerobic exercise – Posture and movement improvement exercises to prevent movement restrictions due to chronic pain
– Exercises to improve the quality of your resistance training – Walking course
– Exercise knowledge useful in daily life (e.g. how to squat, how to climb stairs)
We incorporate these into our programs to help you understand your current situation and provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to continue exercising.
In addition, we hope that holding this exercise class will be a place for horizontal connections (creating communication) among patients who have the same concerns, and that it will encourage them to continue exercising, so we have incorporated the fun of exercise to the maximum. Building a program.
~ Spreading the effects of collaboration to stores ~
There are many people who are in a state called “mibyou,” who are “in a state where they have not yet developed the disease but are moving away from a healthy state,” and how to prevent the disease before it develops has become a social issue. Through this
collaboration with the medical field, we will utilize the “knowledge, technology, and outcome verification results” we have obtained to further improve personal training guidance and program creation, and strengthen the actual services at each store. We aim to help improve health in society.
