Graduated from Department of Applied Chemistry, Tokyo University of Science in March 1967. In April of the same year, he joined Nogawa Chemical, a general adhesive manufacturer. From April 1967 to March 1970, transferred to the Tokyo Institute of Technology (currently the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology) of the Industrial Technology Institute of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (currently the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) to study polymer synthesis. After that, he returned to Nogawa Chemical, where he was involved in the development, technical service, sales and manufacturing of new adhesives, as well as management and supervision. After serving as Managing Director and Senior Managing Director of the company, in June 2000 he became President. In June 2007, he retired as a director of the company, and in July 2007 he established APS Research, a technical consulting firm for adhesives, adhesives and sealing.
