[Author bio]
Masato Furukawa (Furukawa Makoto)
Born in 1988 in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Dropped out of Kokugakuin University Faculty of Letters. In 2016, he won the 48th Shincho Rookie Award for “Sewing Wanban” and made his debut. In 2017, the 157th Akutagawa Prize candidate for the second work, “The Ship After 4pm”, and the 31st candidate for the 31st Yukio Mishima Prize. In 2020, won the 162nd Akutagawa Prize for his fifth work, “Tall Awa Tatekusa”.
