The first edition of Alice in Wonderland, written by British mathematician CL Dodison under the pseudonym of Lewis Carroll, was published in 1865. The hotel houses automatic musical instruments such as antique music boxes, which were in their heyday in the 19th century when Alice was written. Through the sounds of these collections, the atmosphere of the era when the work was written was reproduced, and the sound of the nostalgic music box and the world of Alice in Matsumoto Katsura’s retro and gentle colors were planned in harmony. -What is “Music Box Theater”-
In this museum, a live-style performance style that combines the artist’s illustrations and videos with the performance of automatic music instruments such as music boxes is called “music box theater”. Until now, we have performed with prints, sand art, shadow paintings, etc., and we have created a series as a unique hotel unique project. [Image 3
