■ Background: Aging farms are aging. Smart agriculture needs to be developed and implemented
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Future Investment x Regional Revitalization Study Group’s “Development of Smart Agriculture” (April 2019), the development and implementation of “Smart Agriculture” is an urgent need to strengthen the
competitiveness of agriculture. It is shown.
The background is the aging of key farmers. The proportion of farmers who are 65 years or older in this document is extremely high at 64.6% in Japan compared to major countries such as France at 3.0% (2015) and the Netherlands at 9.2% (same). The situation.
Based on this situation, the Koyu Foundation not only compensates for the shortage of players, but also aims to improve efficiency and yield by practicing agriculture using data. Was established in June 2018. We have been working on the implementation of smart agriculture while doing joint research with the technical college.
“Shintomi Agri Valley” is an effort to attract new agricultural ventures to these regional infrastructures and accumulate technology and human resources.
