Plug and Play Japan Co., Ltd. Plug and Play is a world-class global venture capital / accelerator that supports startups with innovative technologies and ideas together with major companies.
At present, we are implementing a theme-based acceleration program twice a year with 36 corporate partners in Japan, and this time we have welcomed Mitsubishi Electric as a new partner of the IoT Program. Since its founding in 1921, Mitsubishi Electric has been providing a variety of products, systems and services from homes, offices and factories to social infrastructure that supports people’s lives. Under the corporate statement “Changes for the Better,” We are working every day for “Tomorrow”.

Plug and Play Japan Acceleration Program
Acceleration program implemented in the period from June to September 2019 * 3 “Summer / Fall 2019 Batch” is a corporate partner in Japan in five fields (IoT, Fintech, Insurtech, Mobility, Brand & Retail). Together with 31 major companies, we supported 69 startups in Japan and overseas. Summit (commonly called Demo Day), a result presentation held at Toranomon Hills Forum on September 18 and 19, 2019, 61 selected startups announced results for three months over two days . The total number of visitors during the two days was 2,004.
Currently, “Winter / Spring 2020 Batch” is being implemented from December 2019 to March 2020. We have adopted 36 corporate partners and 94 startups in Japan and overseas, and are implementing various initiatives such as matching sessions and events.
