BARE
“BARE” is, as the title suggests, a return to the origin of things by stripping away the superfluous and exposing the essential elements. Covering up and revealing, revealing and covering up. Bare is a collection that celebrates the primordial call, the power of brutal simplicity, and the ambiguous sensuality found in nature. The design is pure and wild, but at the same time overflowing with excessive masculine/feminine energy, expressing androgynousness as absolute freedom. The collection is inspired by the work of photographers such as Peter Huzier, Robert Mapplethorpe and Nan Goldin. Both are dedicated to bringing to the surface beauty often hidden in the shadows, resulting in works that represent a powerful intersection between high art and marginal life. All the people represented through their lenses are the act of baring skin and soul, forever walking the fine line between intimacy and exposure, charm and decadence, vulnerability and armor-like firmness. It has become a personification of the difficult problems that exist in the act of continuing. Peter Huzier once said: “I photograph people who push themselves to all extremes. Those are the people I find interesting, the ones who cling to the freedom to be themselves.” In this context. In other words, “BARE” is not just a word that expresses “naked state” or “pure state of things”, but rather it is synonymous with justifying the complexity of existence. In other words, if you tried to act mundane and routine, if you tried to act unconventional, if you thought it was deep at first glance, if you thought it was very superficial or stuck to one path. , trying to accept various reforms… This is justification for the existence of such a free will. Whatever it is, being naked means being unconditionally familiar with your own skin. Being yourself is a revolution in itself, and celebrating your skin is an even more powerful revolution. Celebrate skin, all skin, skin as a second skin, everything. The collection plays out like a game of contrasts: bourgeois elegance, primitive chic and glamorous androgynousness. Bold shoulders and wide trousers define traditional tailoring. A look that draws inspiration from both zoot suits and teddy boys. Knee-length straight skirts and bold layering bring to the fore the timeless, quintessential charm of ’90s dresses, sheer, sheer silhouettes come alive, twist and turn. Wrap your body while doing it. The color palette ranges from neutral skin tones to beige and camel to brown with cinnamon, caramel and ginger tones. All are complemented by delicate peach, and the occasional absolute black brings the whole together. Accessories come to life with an unexpected combination of metal and botanical accents. The runway show is set in an intimate space like a grunge garage with tattered sofas. The music “Stelle Disorientate” by Theo Teardo enlivens the show.
