The fashion magazine “ELLE Japon” (Hearst Women’s Pictorial Co., Ltd .: Minato-ku, Tokyo) is an art exhibition “ELLE LOVES ART”
commemorating its 30th anniversary in 2019. It will be held from November 16th (Sat) to 17th (Sun) at KASHIYAMA DAIKANYAMA.
After the 30th anniversary, this project will present the work of 30 artists and creators active both in Japan and overseas in two parts. In Gallery A, people who are active in various fields of art will release new works created for this project under the theme of “LOVE”. Gallery B is “The World They See – 30 Years of Japanese Female Artists” by Deputy Director / Chief Curator Mori Art Museum. “Empowerment”, “Humour”, “Voice Up”, “Curiosity” and “Journalism” are the five keywords that have run through the 30 years of “ELLE”. Resonate. In addition, some of the works to be shown at Gallery A will be offered a silent auction on our official shopping site “ELLE SHOP” (https://elleshop.jp/). It will be donated to an organization that can be used for support.
On Saturday, November 16, Miwa Komatsu, who is shaking the art scene in Japan and abroad, talks about his work. On Sunday, November 17, he actively introduces creative and new technologies. A fashion brand characterized by the clothes used, Unrearage designer Kunihiko Morinaga and traditional crafts and dyeing craftsman Edo Komon. We will have an artist talk by Ms. Reiko Mori.
