Project overview This exhibition is a group exhibition of five artists and one group. Through the experience of the city, its structures and spaces, we will deepen our thoughts on the feelings and memories that are imprinted/imprinted on “individuals” with the keyword “city as a scab”. A city is an aggregation of people’s activities, and at the same time, the traces and scars of people and goods gathering and activities appear on the ground surface. Architecture is a trace of land, ground, soil, and human activities, and is the result of communication with humans, and can be considered a temporary form. People grasp the spaces built in cities, surround themselves with them, regulate their own behavior, move around, collect information, and accumulate experiences. A city with complex and multi-layered functions that pursues economic efficiency while also appealing to waste and desolation. For those of us who live in the fantasy of development, what artists express in their works should serve as an opportunity to escape from the landscape that has been imprinted on us. “kizu” has contradictory meanings, to hurt and to build up, but they are overlapped by the character “so”, which has both the meaning of creating and the meaning of hurting. What meaning does “the city as a scab” have as our perspective on the dynamically changing city intersects with our physical sensations?
