The “Certified Marriage Counselor (Beginner)”, which is now accepting applications, will cover “About people looking for a marriage and the status of marriage hunting,” “About the role of a marriage counselor and the basics of support for people looking for a marriage,” and “Basic information. The Japan Life Design Counselor Association (JLCA), a non-profit organization, was established in January 2007. At the time of its establishment, the National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan received approximately 3,000 inquiries about marriage partner introduction services (so-called marriage consultation offices), and there was great concern that the credibility of the industry would be
diminished. Under these circumstances, JLCA, as a third-party certification body, began issuing the “Malutei Mark” certification based on the “Guidelines for Certification System for Marriage Partner Introduction Services” in December 2008. Initially, 176 businesses were certified, but as of February 2023, there are approximately 600 businesses. JLCA contributes to further improving the reliability of the marriage partner introduction service industry through the certification business of issuing the “Multiple Mark” and the training course business for marriage consultation agencies, and provides safe and secure marriage for consumers seeking marriage.
