Skyland Ventures (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Partner/CEO: Yoshihiko Kinoshita, hereinafter referred to as SV) is Giraffe Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nakano-ku, Tokyo, President and Representative Director: Teruaki Aso), which operates the trading card and sneaker flea market app Magi, etc. We are pleased to announce that we have invested 200 million yen in a round with a total of 2 billion yen. The investment in Giraffe is the first investment of the Gogin Skyland Next Fund, which was announced in November 2023.

This is our second investment in Giraffe, which started at the seed stage shortly after its establishment, and we have been surprised by the company’s significant changes over the past year, centered around the collector’s item brand magi, and the business growth.
I believe that card games have already become a social phenomenon, and have become entertainment for many young people from Tokyo to rural areas. I think this market will increase several times or even tens of times over the next 5-10 years. We hope that Giraffe will become a leading player among them.
