Tokyo Midtown Yaesu (location: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) is holding its first Christmas event, “MIDTOWN YAESU CHRISTMAS 2023,” until December 25, 2023 (Monday). In addition to the illuminations that symbolize Tokyo Midtown Yaesu with the concept of “Japan Crafts”, a Christmas market with the theme of “manufacturing” will be held from December 15th (Friday) to December 25th (Monday)! The in-house store has a wide selection of winter-only items and gourmet foods. In addition, we will be holding a free workshop on weekends only where you can add a little extra effort to your purchased Christmas gift and create your own Christmas card. Two Aomori-based Nebuta masters, Ryusei Uchiyama and Ryūhō Tateta, spent about two months creating “Nebuta Santa” and “Tsugaru Vidro”, which sells designated traditional crafts from Aomori Prefecture. is a collaboration. Nebuta and Tsugaru Vidro glasswork, which have a long history in Aomori Prefecture, bring tradition and newness to the winter tradition of Christmas. “Light sculpture” -STAR-, which contains the wish for peace, lights up “STAR” is a huge 10m long sculpture by Tokujin Yoshioka installed in front of the main entrance of Tokyo Midtown Yaesu. This shining single star contains a wish for peace. A special illumination will be held for a limited time from December 5th (Tuesday). It is a light installation in which countless flashlights are reflected on a stainless steel mirror rod, emitting a variety of sparkles.
