Capcom Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that “Street Fighter 6” won Best Fighting and “Resident Evil Village VR Mode” won Best VR/AR at “The Game Awards 2023” held in Los Angeles, USA.
The Game Awards, which will be held for the 10th time this year, is one of the world’s largest award ceremonies that selects the game works and achievements that represent the year through votes from game media and users around the world.
Street Fighter 6 has been awarded the Best Fighting award, which is given to outstanding fighting games.
This work is a new generation fighting game released for the first time in about 7 years since the previous work. Adopting a new operation mode called “Modern Type” that allows you to perform special moves without entering complex commands, we have taken measures to appeal to a wide range of users, and as a result, we have sold 2.4 million units*1 worldwide. This work has also been highly praised for its enhanced single-player features such as the story mode “World Tour,” which explores the world of “Street Fighter,” and for providing the best battle experience in the fighting genre.
Additionally, Resident Evil Village’s free downloadable content for PlayStation(R) VR2, Resident Evil Village VR Mode, was also awarded Best VR/AR, which is given to outstanding VR/AR games.
