ST Co., Ltd. will release “Family Premium Bio Gokuusude”, a pair of gloves made from earth-friendly materials in response to the growing environmental awareness, from February 27th at supermarkets, drug stores, home centers, etc. nationwide.
Free size, contains 14 pieces. The price is open, but the actual price in stores is expected to be around 492 yen including tax.

“Family Premium Bio Gokuusute” is an environmentally friendly glove made of resin that biodegrades in both seawater and soil. The material used is Kaneka’s biodegradable biopolymer “Green Planet (R) (*1)”, which is a 100% plant-based resin. It has the feature of being finally decomposed down to the molecular level of carbon dioxide and water by the action of microorganisms in seawater and soil (marine
biodegradability, soil biodegradability), and after use, it can be used as a microbial garbage disposal machine. It biodegrades when placed in (compost), so it can also be mixed into compost.
The size is free size and the contents are 14 pieces. It can be used for cooking and cleaning.

Green Planet(R) is a 100% plant-based material developed by Kaneka Corporation that is biodegradable in seawater and soil (*) and contributes to solving marine pollution problems.
(*) The biodegradation rate varies depending on conditions such as seawater temperature.
The packaging uses FSC(R) certified paper (*2), and in addition to the green and blue color scheme, uses natural craft fabric, and is designed with an image of environmental friendliness.
In addition, the large circle drawn on the front uses detailed illustrations to express the natural cycle of rain, rivers, and trees growing, as well as the diversity of people who live within this cycle.
Furthermore, by using 100% plant-derived resin, it meets S.T.’s own environmental standards, so it bears the “Eco for Everyone” mark. This is the first glove in the industry that uses 100% plant-based resin and is biodegradable in the ocean and soil.
