We will be conducting a “demonstration experiment of self-driving buses” and “demonstration experiment of operating outdoor events using solar power generation and storage batteries”!
Advanced urban development “Fukuoka Smart”
East”, Fukuoka City, Kyushu University, the Urban Renaissance Agency, and the Fukuoka Regional Strategy Promotion Council (*1) will conduct a demonstration experiment of self-driving bus operation from February 17th to March 3rd. To do. In addition, from February 16th to 19th, we will be holding a demonstration experiment in collaboration with Nishio Rentall Co., Ltd. to operate an outdoor event using solar power generation and storage batteries, so please be sure to check it out. . * 1 Demonstration experiment of self-driving bus *
During the period from February 17th to March 3rd, five pick-up and drop-off spots will be set up in familiar places such as stations and commercial facilities in the area around JR Hakozaki Station, and the train will automatically run on a 3.7km route. We will conduct a demonstration experiment of driving bus operation. (*2)

* ○Driving route: * As per the operation route map. It runs while stopping at each boarding and alighting spot. (1 lap approximately 50 minutes)
* ○ Capacity: * 8 people for each flight (5 people for reservations (*4), 3 people for the day)

In collaboration with Nishio Rent-All Co., Ltd., we will conduct a demonstration experiment to run outdoor events using solar power generation and storage batteries, without using electricity from the power grid or fossil fuels such as gasoline.
These technologies and ideas can be used not only during events but also during disasters.
