Yamashita Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture, President and CEO: Kazuhiro Yamashita, hereinafter referred to as “Yamashita”), which operates nursing care product rental and sales business and linen supply business, has decided to extend the implementation period of its “Referral Allowance Increase Campaign” to 2024. We have decided to extend the deadline for 3 months until June 30th (Sunday). Additionally, the period for the “Joining Gift Campaign” will be extended as well.

Background of increase in referral allowance and extension of period Yamashita has set a goal of significantly increasing the number of full-time employees to 4,000 in 2030 (the number of full-time employees is 1,299 as of 2021) in its human resources portfolio in order to achieve the sales target of 85 billion yen set in Long-Term Vision 2030. We are actively recruiting. As part of this, we are implementing an increase in referral allowances starting Wednesday, December 6, 2023. The “referral allowance” that our company usually introduces is to pay an allowance only to the person who introduces you. On the other hand, in this campaign, we are increasing the amount of allowances to the introducers and paying allowances to the employees themselves. The total amount of referral allowance is up to 1 million yen.
We are also running a “Joining Bonus Campaign” where we will pay up to 500,000 yen as a joining bonus to job seekers who apply directly from Yamashita’s recruitment site without going through a recruitment support agent.
The extension of this period was decided in response to the favorable reception of the campaign.

At Yamashita, the total of referral recruitment and voluntary application recruitment accounted for more than 30% of the total number of employees joining the company in fiscal 2023. The total number of employees as of the end of February 2024 is 181. Of these, 33 people (18.2% of the total) were hired through referrals, and 27 people (14.9% of the total) were hired through independent
applications (via the company’s website) without using agents. The total of both amounts to approximately 33%.
In the previous fiscal year 2022, the total number of hires was 250, but the total number of hires through referrals and voluntary applications was only 11 (4.4% of the total).
In this way, in fiscal 2023, compared to the previous year, referral recruitment and recruitment via our company’s website have
significantly increased.
