About Etajima City and the Kirikushi district of Etajima City Etajima City, which is made up of Etajima and Nomijima in the eastern part of Hiroshima Bay, and islands scattered around them, is a 30-minute boat ride from Hiroshima City. On the other side of the world-famous tourist destination of Hiroshima City, you will find the serene scenery of the Seto Inland Sea, where the beauty of the archipelago spreads out, and the lives of the people of each season. Kirikushi is the closest to Hiroshima City in Etajima City, and many people commute to Hiroshima City and Kure City. Etajima City Regional Revitalization Cooperation Team: Vacant House Utilization Director
Kosuke Hagusa
YOKADO KIRIKUSHI / Kirikushi Coastal Village Manager
Local Revitalization Cooperation Team “Vacant House Utilization Director” Kosuke Hagusa
I was appointed as the Director of Vacant House Utilization for the Regional Revitalization Cooperation Team, and have been working hard every day to create a new vacant house utilization model, an “vacant house complex.”
This place, which was just an empty house, gradually grew through interactions with various people, including a shop, an inn, and people from overseas coming to stay.
Thank you very much to everyone who was involved and supported us. We are still at a passing point, so we would like to continue to liven up the Kirikushi area of Etajima City by working together with many people to create a fun spot.

The concept of this inn is “Peaceful leisure time on an island in the Seto Inland Sea”.
Etajima, 30 minutes from the ferry, is surrounded by rich nature and has a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Please come and experience the daily life on the island.

~ A project to enliven the B-side (back side) of Hiroshima tourism, centered around the Kirikushi area, has started ~
A cassette index-type tourist guide introducing the Kirikushi area Photos with an analog feel are also attractive.
The concept of “B side of tourism”
Crossing the ocean and heading to the island on the other side feels like going on an adventure and is exciting. As we watched the ever-changing scenery, we arrived at a quiet port. If you climb the small mountain in front of you and look out over the Seto Inland Sea, you can see the city of Hiroshima in the distance. I rode my bicycle along the coastline bathed in the setting sun and found a memorial monument on the calm shore. Although there are no tourist attractions, there are stories hidden in the area that can only be found there. On the island on the opposite shore was Hiroshima, which I didn’t know about.
