Recruitment of tree planting participants has begun for the “Green Festival “Kanagawa Future Forest Creation” 2024 in Sagamihara” ~ Tree planting festival commemorating the 70th anniversary of Sagamihara City’s establishment as a city.

Forests are important resources with multifunctional functions that nurture wood resources and water sources, provide recreational areas, and serve as habitats for a variety of living things. They also contribute to the conservation of national land and the prevention of global warming. It is an essential part of our lives.
At the “Green Festival,” an event that promotes forest creation, we are recruiting participants to plant Quercus oak and sawtooth oak trees by advance reservation (capacity: 400 people). Why not try planting greenery that will lead to the future with your own hands?

The Green Festival is a tree-planting event held every other year in Kanagawa Prefecture in order to continue disseminating Kanagawa Prefecture’s reforestation efforts and promote forest creation in collaboration with the citizens of the prefecture. In 2020, we will hold a tree-planting festival to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Sagamihara City’s municipal administration at the Komorebi Forest in Minami Ward of the city, during the season of fresh greenery. (1) Tree planting of Quercus oak, oak, etc. Capacity: 400 people [Advance reservations required; lottery will be held if capacity is reached]
