Even today, tsukudani is a traditional Japanese food that adds color to the dining table and drinking parties.
This time, Rakuten T-BOX is selling an assortment of tsukudani from “Tsukudaya Shokuhin Kogyo,” a long-established store that has been in business for over 100 years in Monzennakacho, a corner of Fukagawa known as the birthplace of tsukudani, near the TONICHI head office building. The factory, which started with just a small pot, continues to take the time and effort to handcraft the heartiest tsukudani. As a T-BOX limited set sale, we will deliver 6 types of Tsukudaya Foods’ popular products: “Shredded Kelp,” “Wakasagi Kanroni,” “Kyarabuki,” “Walnut Kojoshi,” “Cod roe Konbu,” and “Seasonal Boiled Beans.” Ryutaro Iwasaki, the third generation president of Tsukuda Foods, particularly recommends “Seasonal Boiled Beans.” The first product is “Takahara Beans”, which are popular for their large grains and fluffy texture made from Daikokuhana beans. Even if you are not familiar with tsukudani, this is a must-try dish.
