We are pleased to announce that Ms. Junko Manen (residing in Jojima, Kurume City) will be holding an SOS Children’s Village JAPAN support concert at the Toyosu Civic Hall. Bavarian State Opera Massimiliano Murali, soprano: Kyoko Hattori, mezzo-soprano: Nozomi Kato,
countertenor: Toshiyuki Muramatsu, and baritone: Toru Kayo will be featured in a performance centered on opera music. Please join us for this special concert to share the deep emotion.

Massimiliano Murali
Born in Florence, Italy. Exclusive conductor and assistant conductor of the Bavarian State Opera in Germany. He has served as assistant conductor to many famous conductors such as Zubin Mehta and Kent Nagano, and is highly trusted by them. At the invitation of Mr. Nagano, he has been active as a conductor at major theaters and music festivals around the country, including “The Two Foscari” at the Knowlton Bel Canto Music Festival (Canada) and La Scala in Milan. In Japan, he conducted the Sadako Kiba memorial performance of “Madama Butterfly” (Fukuoka), which was also broadcast on NHK [Art Theater]. He has also performed many world premieres of works by contemporary music composers such as Luciano Berio. In addition to being the accompanist for Sumi Jo’s recital in Korea, he has also performed as a chamber music pianist and accompanist at Carnegie Hall, La Scala, Opera House of Florence, Teatro Royale di Turin, and other venues. ■Soprano: Kyoko Hattori

After graduating from Kyoto City Horikawa Music High School, she graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Music, Department of Vocal Music. Graduated from the National Conservatory of Parma, Italy. In opera, he performed solos such as Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro and Nella in Gianni Schicchi, as well as
Beethoven’s Ninth, Poulenc’s Gloria, Mozart’s Requiem, and Webern’s Four Songs for Chamber Orchestra and Soprano. . Lives in Modena, Italy.

Completed the master’s degree in opera at Tokyo University of the Arts. 1st place in the 43rd Italian Statics Concorso Milan Grand Prize. After studying at the Parma National Conservatory in Italy, in 2016 she became the first Japanese to pass the Young Singers Development Program at the Valencia Opera House in Spain. He has expanded his career mainly in Italy and Spain, including Suzuki in “Madame Butterfly”, Dorabella in “Cosi fan tutte”, and Adalgisa in “Norma”. In Japan, he received favorable reviews for the title role in “Carmen”, Romeo in “The Capuleti Family and the Montecchi Family”, and Epoli in Tokyo Nikikai Opera Theater “Don Carlo”. Lives in Spain.

Born in Kyoto. Completed the vocal music department of Tokyo University of the Arts and the solo singing department of the same graduate school at the top of his class. Studied at the Department of Early Music Vocal Music at the Novara G. Cantelli Conservatory. He has appeared on TV and radio, and has performed with major orchestras in Japan. He has a wide range of repertoire that goes beyond the traditional countertenor realm, and his jazz arrangement CD of Toru Takemitsu’s “Song Book” was selected as a special selection of “Record Geijutsu”. In 2022, he made his debut at the New National Theater in the role of Nireno in Handel’s “Giulio Cesare” and received rave reviews.

Completed the master’s program at Tokyo University of the Arts at the top of his class. Received the Graduate School Acanthus Award. Completed the Nikikai Opera Training Institute as valedictorian. Received the Grand Prize and Seiko Kawasaki Award. 2nd place at the 20th Friendship German Lied Competition. In addition to being a concert soloist at Bach Collegium Japan, he has appeared in many opera productions, including the title role in Nissay Theater’s “Don Giovanni” and Dr. Schön in Nikikai’s “Lulu.” Released 4th Album [A Time for Us] in 2023. He has appeared in many media such as TV Asahi [Untitled Concert] and NHK-E TV [Sukusuku Parenting]. Part-time lecturer at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music.

We are working on community development to prevent people from becoming isolated.

We address a variety of issues that arise when children and families are isolated from their communities.
