We would like to inform you about the resumption of sales of “Me,” an ancient koji liqueur that has been discontinued since April last year.
Our company has been contracted to manufacture “the highest quality mirin as a drink” by Kanda Toshimaya Co., Ltd., and has been selling it through the company since 2021. However, it was discovered that some of the ingredients had been misidentified, resulting in a product that was different from what the company had ordered. Sales of the product were suspended in April last year, and the product was voluntarily recalled. Thank you for letting me do it.
After that, together with Kanda Toshimaya Co., Ltd., we once again searched for raw materials that were in line with the product’s concept, and after repeated trial and error, we started manufacturing again.
The new “Me” was squeezed from the tank in October last year, and after six months of letting the dregs down through natural settling, it is now at the stage of bottling.
First of all, we will resume sales of “Me unfiltered raw sake Origarami” on Tuesday, April 9th of this year.
In addition, since “Me unfiltered raw unprocessed sake” requires approximately one year of maturation from the time of squeezing, it is expected to be ready around fall of this year.
I hope everyone can pick it up. Thank you very much.
Comment from general sales agent Kanda Toshimaya:
We would like to once again sincerely apologize for the great inconvenience caused to everyone who patronizes “Me.”
We have also received feedback from so many customers that they are looking forward to the resale of “Me,” and we must remember what we felt at that time and work even harder.
I would be more than happy if I were able to deliver the “New Me” to you once again and enjoy the new deliciousness of Me. Thank you very much for your support.
