〇If you have not passed the Japanese Language Teaching Proficiency Test… If active Japanese language teachers have not passed the Japanese Language Teaching Proficiency Test, they are required to pass the Japanese Language Teacher Examination (applied exam) during a five-year transition period.
Also, if you are considering acquiring a qualification from now on, passing the Japanese Language Teacher Examination (applied exam) is essential, regardless of whether you take the exam route or the 420-hour training course route.

To [design a new me]! Opened a training course for obtaining qualifications to teach Japanese to foreigners.
We will open a Japanese language school in July 2023 and Japanese teacher training in October 2023 as a sister school of the Japanese language school “Canaan International Education Academy”, which has been providing Japanese language education services to foreign personnel for 20 years since 2003. Against the backdrop of rising expectations for foreign human resources and an increase in the number of international students, we provide Japanese language education to international students and foreign residents in Japan.
In the study abroad business, as a school specializing in higher education, we have set a capacity for over 200 international students, mainly in Kanji areas.

We have set up a curriculum that allows you to advance your studies. At Canaan Tokyo, where the Japanese language teacher training course and Japanese language school collaborate, students in the training course can observe international student classes and participate in hands-on events, allowing them to gain valuable field experience while taking the course. Additionally, employment support services under a new system will begin from April 2024.
