March 2024 “Comfort Hotel” in Kariya City and Kitakyushu City was renovated. Recycled feather duvets were newly installed in all rooms, making the rooms more comfortable.

The wallpaper in the guest rooms incorporates gentle colors that reflect the beauty of nature, such as fields of sunflowers, and a geometric design inspired by an automobile factory. We have also installed thermo-type faucets and USB outlets, and updated desk chairs to improve functionality for a more comfortable stay. It is a space where you can relax and enjoy the car town of Kariya to the fullest.
The front counter has a design inspired by car parts unique to the automobile industry, and has been reborn as a bright space surrounded by soft colors. The design is consistent with the atmosphere of the Comfort Library Cafe, which opened in June 2022, and represents the city of Kariya, which is bustling with the automobile industry. Classic cars from the good old days are painted on the walls of the EV hall, allowing you to fully enjoy the Kariya atmosphere.

The single room is inspired by the sunset over the Kitakyushu industrial area, and the warmth and brightness of the sun is expressed in orange. The twin room is accented with green wallpaper that symbolizes the beautiful nature that reminds us of the “yew oak”, which is known as the symbol tree of Kitakyushu, creating a space that maximizes the charm of Kurosaki, Kitakyushu. Additionally, USB outlets will be installed in single and twin rooms.

At the front desk, there is a baggage stand with a design symbolizing Fukuoka Prefecture’s textile culture. We have recently introduced duvets (down comforters) made from recycled feathers to the beds in all rooms at Comfort Hotel Kariya and Comfort Hotel Kurosaki. This duvet is made from old, damaged feathers that have been thoroughly washed and dried using the industry’s highest standard premium downwash finish. We will continue to promote initiatives that are kind to both people and the environment, with the aim of realizing a sustainable society.
