) will be holding a special campaign as part of our efforts to use forest resources sustainably and contribute to the local community, as we celebrate the first anniversary of our grand opening and express our deep gratitude to everyone.

-Former Kagura Elementary School-” will be renovated in October 2022 with the aim of further promoting the use of forest resources. As a key part of the renewal plan, in April 2023, Wood Villa “Shinraku -SHIGURA-” has opened.
The facility has a wood stove and boiler, an outdoor bonfire space, and an inner deck where you can have a BBQ even in the rain. You can also use the entire sauna area for private use. In a relaxing space filled with the warmth of wood, we offer our guests a relaxing time while enjoying the wood.

FOREST
The area where DOOR is located (formerly Kagura Village) has a history of being a manor called “Shigura-sho” from the Heian period to the Nanbokucho period. We offer a time that will “soothe your mind and make you feel at ease” through a special experience of touching, playing with, and being surrounded by trees, away from your busy daily life in the idyllic scenery of Satoyama.
Our aim is for our customers to become fans of wood by fully experiencing the warmth and healing effects of wood in a relaxing space surrounded by wood from Hyogo Prefecture.

All of the four guest rooms, three Western-style rooms and one Japanese-style room, have different specifications for the type of wood and the way they are upholstered, so you can experience the various spatial designs created by wood materials.

A unique space that utilizes the wisteria trellis from elementary school for the cold bath that pumps up groundwater.
There are two types of saunas. A barrel sauna made of 100% wood from Hyogo Prefecture, and a sauna with an original design that is the only one in the world based on a barrel sauna.

Enjoy a bonfire and BBQ on the wood deck that has been treated with flame retardant treatment. You can enjoy a luxurious time in a relaxing spot where you can feel the natural light and breeze while looking at the Satoyama scenery.
* ■Introducing unused firewood as an energy source*
Firewood made from unused materials from the Tamba area is used as an energy source in the facility’s wood-burning stoves and boilers, as well as the outdoor bonfire spaces and sauna stoves in the sauna area. By effectively utilizing local resources, we will reduce fossil fuel consumption and reduce CO2 emissions. In addition, participants can experience chopping firewood by preparing the firewood they will actually use with their own hands. You can contribute to the revitalization of forest maintenance.

The former Kagura Elementary School in Tanba City, Hyogo Prefecture, which was closed in 2017, was renovated and began operation in May 2019 as an experiential facility that conveys the charm of local materials. In October 2022, the facility will be renovated with the concept of “Forest Information Transmission Base.” The old school building has been renovated using plenty of timber from Hyogo Prefecture, and now offers services that touch trees and forests, including a co-working space, training room, direct sales of trees, a showroom using timber from the prefecture, and a mountain and forest consultation desk. FOREST GROUP consists of “Morinowa Co., Ltd.”, which handles forestry, “Kiei Co., Ltd.”, which handles lumber and processing, and “Co., Ltd.”, which handles construction and real estate.
It is made up of four companies: “Eiken” and “Forest Door Co., Ltd.”, a social company that operates FOREST DOOR, a facility that utilizes a closed school.
By carrying out a series of processes from forest maintenance to wood processing and sales all at once, we are realizing the “sixth industrialization of forests”.
