Up until now, delivery has been limited to stores, but in order to support more farmers in the future, we are working hard to collaborate with everyone who sympathizes with the philosophy that “eating is contributing to society.” We will continue to expand our efforts to create a better future through food. *
It’s just a kitchen car, but it has a big dream. This can be traced back to our origins with the goal of supporting farmers. When the owner was a university student, he realized the importance of food as a national security and the dangers of the modern Japanese food system.
10 years have passed since then. The average age of farmers is already 68.5 years old. Although there are improvements in efficiency such as agricultural corporations and intensive farming, will we be able to provide enough food to feed the population in 10 years? Agricultural inputs (fertilizers and feed) are dependent on imports, and although the crisis in Ukraine has brought this into reality, the system will not change easily. Agriculture varies in scale and purpose. I think it is important not only to farm, but also to live a life with farming. However, I believe that supporting those who are currently
participating will be the key to the future, as well as passing on knowledge and wisdom.
Food is not only connected to agriculture, but also to the design of regions, tourism, and lifestyles, and our relationship with the world changes greatly depending on the food situation. That’s why eat for While playing the role of a safety net for farmers through the development of products that use food rescue vegetables, we would like to create opportunities for consumers to change their mindset, starting with eating. Supporting farmers means how we can protect our food, our source of life, five, ten, and twenty years from now.
In February 2024, “Sustainable Voyage”, a co-creation project to reduce food loss promoted by JTB Corporation (hereinafter “JTB”), will be launched.
In support of the Sustainable Voyage Project, we have participated in the development of the second project, “Ross Travel Can”, which uses non-standard vegetables.
