We have concluded an agreement with Martin Benz regarding the import, manufacturing and sales rights and trademark usage rights for Outlast(R) materials in the Japanese market. Sojitz Infinity began handling Outlast(R) in the bedding field in 2018, but from 2024 it will begin selling and supplying Outlast(R) raw materials in all fields, including apparel and footwear. We will begin full-scale development and sales of the materials used. “Outlast(R)” was developed to protect NASA astronauts from large changes in outside temperature. We are a pioneer in temperature-regulating materials that have the ability to absorb and store excess body heat, and release it when needed. In the Japanese market, we have been expanding our products since 1999, focusing on clothing such as sportswear and innerwear. As future developments, we are considering using it in year-round products and developing it into wellness-related products such as suppressing sweating in order to respond to the instability of temperature caused by recent climate change.
