……
JPCS, a general incorporated association (Headquarters: Tokyo, Representative: Kazumasa Haneda, hereinafter referred to as our company), is working on developing an app called “AnimaLove” for pet owners, which shows on a map the facilities where pets can be brought along or evacuated to the same room. The project will start on April 3rd on the crowdfunding site “CAMPFIRE”.
□Background of project launch
Our company was founded with the desire to change the pet industry for the better and to create a society in which pets and their owners can coexist easily.

What we are currently focusing on is the issue of pet evacuation. In addition to past disasters, the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2020 claimed the lives of not only people but also many pets.
The issue of evacuation of pets during disasters has been a hot topic, with some pets becoming separated from their owners, some waiting for their pets to return home in homes that are in danger of collapsing, and some people staying in their cars because they can’t get into evacuation centers. Masu.
In January of this year, we conducted a survey of pet owners (dogs, cats, and others) to find out what information they seek in the event of a disaster.
First, when we asked owners what kind of information they gather in advance regarding pet evacuation during disasters, 48.8% answered “how to evacuate with your pet,” followed by “information on nearby evacuation centers.” We found that 45.5% of respondents answered “evacuation routes and evacuation routes,” indicating that a large amount of information about actual evacuation behavior was researched.

Next, when asked what pet-related information is necessary in the event of a disaster, 58.4% said “Information on evacuation centers and evacuation routes where you can evacuate with nearby pets,” which was followed by “ “Information on stockpiled items at the evacuation center and things to take from home” (43.8%), “Information on disaster prevention goods and supplies to prepare at home” (42.0%),
“Information on what to do when living in an evacuation center with pets” The result was “Important points” (42.0%).

Based on this result, we felt it was necessary to disseminate information about facilities where pets can be evacuated, so we decided to develop an app as a crowdfunding project.
□About the app
We are developing a free app “AnimaLove” for pet owners.

At evacuation facilities during disasters, there are some people who don’t like pets or who have allergies. Under such circumstances, it is important to be able to see at a glance which places you can evacuate to with your pet, so that you and your pet can live an evacuation life with as much peace of mind as possible.
We look forward to your warm support.
