Marukoma Onsen Ryokan began in December 1915 when Hatsutaro the First opened a hot spring inn in a thatched hut in an undeveloped area surrounded by primeval forests and lakes. The words of those days have been passed down to us even today when we run the inn. I would like to recommit to protecting the natural environment and hot spring culture so that the same words will be heard 100 years from now.

From 12:00 on April 9th, we will open the natural open-air bath for one day and work with our customers to maintain the natural open-air bath. I believe that cleaning the hot spring well, which has been continuously flowing for 109 years, will help people learn about the blessings of natural hot spring water, and will help people learn more about Marukoma Onsen.
