Shizuoka Prefecture releases four case studies of environmental business! Visualization of the efforts of SDGs Business Award winning organizations

Shizuoka Prefecture (Location: Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Department in charge: Living and Environment Department, Environmental Policy Division) has produced a case study video of the winning organization of the “Shizuoka Prefecture SDGs Business Award”, which recognizes environmental businesses that create the future, and has published it on the Shizuoka Prefectural Government official website. Published on Youtube channel “Fuji no Kuni Media Channel”. Hamamatsu Pulse Co., Ltd. (Hamamatsu City), which received the Shizuoka Prefecture Governor’s Award in 2022, Canac Co., Ltd. (Fujieda City), which received the Excellence Award, BASE TRES Co., Ltd., Mirai Design GX Co., Ltd. (Tokyo) & Hibariya Co., Ltd. (Shizuoka City)’s efforts will be visualized and widely disseminated as an environmental business representing Shizuoka Prefecture, with the aim of spreading awareness of SDGs.

▼What is the Shizuoka Prefecture SDGs Business Award?
As global environmental issues become more serious, all sectors are moving toward achieving the SDGs. Additionally, there is growing momentum toward realizing a virtuous cycle of environmental
conservation and economic growth, including the rapid spread of ESG finance. In light of these trends, Shizuoka Prefecture is targeting corporations that are engaged in environmental business, or those that would like to engage in environmental business in the future, to contribute to solving environmental issues using Shizuoka Prefecture as a field, on the premise that they will implement it themselves. We are looking for a wide range of business ideas. For selected business ideas, mentoring will be provided in preparation for
commercialization. The final business idea will be recognized with the prefectural governor’s award, excellence award, and encouragement award at the “Shizuoka Prefecture SDGs Business Awards” with the aim of expanding the spread of environmental business.
