About the seasonal menu “Sakura Soba”
The seasonal “Sakura Soba”, which is made with plenty of “Sakura Leaf” powder, is available only 10 times a day during April. Sakura soba noodles have a beautiful cherry blossom color, and are a dish that lets you feel the refreshing arrival of spring not only in aroma and flavor but also visually. Just like regular soba noodles, they are hand-made by craftsmen every morning.
In order to bring out the scent and color of the cherry blossoms, we use a special white powder called “Sarashinako,” which uses only the center of the buckwheat. Sarashina flour has a less soba flavor than regular buckwheat flour, so it is a richly fragrant dish with a distinct cherry blossom scent.
Hakone Kyōan Main Store The Hakone Yumoto area where Kyōtei is located is also famous as a cherry blossom viewing spot. This spring, be sure to enjoy Sakura Soba at Hakone Gyouan Honten Gyoutei before or after cherry blossom viewing.

The cherry blossom viewing season in Hakone Yumoto begins with the blooming of the Yoshino cherry trees that line the Hayakawa riverbed, just across the Hydrangea Bridge in front of Hakone Yumoto Station.
