◆Background of participation as a cooperating organization
Green
Carbon is working on creating carbon credits derived from nature, mainly in Southeast Asia, and is developing a wide range of projects including rice fields, cow burp reduction, forest conservation, afforestation, and biochar projects. In particular, we have
implemented large-scale projects to reduce methane gas and create carbon credits through intermittent irrigation (AWD) in rice fields in the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand, and we have the know-how to expand them in Southeast Asia. Based on the above background, as JIRCAS moves forward with the SATREPS project development in Cambodia, Green
We received an interest in utilizing Carbon’s know-how in creating naturally derived carbon credits, and decided to participate as a cooperating organization.

◆Green Carbon business introduction
Green
Carbon’s vision is to “save the earth with the power of life,” and we are developing a business that provides comprehensive support for carbon credit creation, registration, and sales. In addition, we are also developing agriculture-related businesses, research and development businesses, and ESG consulting businesses. Among these, our main project, a project to create carbon credits by reducing methane gas from rice fields, has acquired Japan’s first and largest J-Credit certification for rice fields (approximately 6,220 tons), with approximately 50,000 hectares in 2024. We plan to expand. In addition, we provide “Agreen,” a service that completes credit registration, application, and sales on one platform, simplifying the procedures and document creation required when registering a credit application, and reducing the man-hours of credit creators. We are reducing.

*²AWD: Alternate wetting and drying
) is a method of repeating watering and natural drying every few days, using the water level in the rice field as a guide. In the case of intermittent irrigation (AWD), compared to continuous irrigation, water usage can be reduced and it also contributes to the conservation of water resources.
