“BEST OF” is a contest to determine the best private lodging in Japan, hosted by Keisuke Sakakibara (minpaku expert) and Natsuki Tajiri (minpaku management advisor and tourism influencer).
MINPAKU (Best of Private Lodging)” was held on February 14, 2024 at Hotel Monterey Osaka (Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture).
“BEST OF MINPAKU” was held under the themes of “Rebuilding the industry that has been greatly affected by the coronavirus pandemic” and “Private lodging is one of the travel options for Japanese people.”
The memorable first event was held at the glamping cottage private lodging “IZA Omi Maiko” with about 500 visitors and a total of 558 rooms.

IZA Omi Maiko is a glamping cottage with a private sauna that invites you to an unforgettable time and space with a unique theme and a design with attention to detail.
Located on the shores of Lake Biwa in Shiga Prefecture, 45 minutes from Kyoto and 1.5 hours from Osaka. It is a 1-minute walk from the nearest station, JR Omimaiko Station, and is easily accessible not only by car but also by train.
In the calm, there is a barrel sauna that has been passed down from Finland, a huge jacuzzi that can accommodate 4 to 6 people, and a cold bath.
In the waves, there is a car sauna that you can ride from the garden onto the back of a truck. You can also enjoy the unique scent of firewood with a stove that uses wood.
