We have begun preparations to open the campground “bokuya”, which requires reservations and is limited to one group per day, in a meadow with a large number of people, and have started recruiting on the crowdfunding site “CAMPFIRE” to raise operating funds and PR. The recruitment period is from Saturday, March 23, 2024 to Tuesday, April 23, 2024, and the fundraising amount has already reached 500,000 yen, with the next goal of 1 million yen. *

* Background of campsite “bokuya” *
BOKUYA is located in Nobeyama Plateau, Minamimaki Village, Nagano Prefecture, at an altitude of 1,300 meters, and is also known as the highest point on the JR Lines, about 2 and a half hours by car from Tokyo. It is also famous as one of Japan’s top 3 star attractions, selected by astronomers as one of the top 3 most beautiful starry skies in Japan, and is also a major producer of leafy vegetables such as lettuce. Michiterasu representative Yamaura, who has been hosting outdoor music events in such a place for about 10 years, started “bokuya” with the desire to make this place more open and share it with many people.
Not only can you see the stars at night, but you can also enjoy a panoramic view of Mt. Yatsugatake during the day, even though it is surrounded by forests. * 1. A location where you can enjoy nature to yourself*
Nobeyama, at an altitude of 1300m, is a cool and pleasant environment even in the summer. Surrounded by forests, the only place you can see is the majestic Mt. Yatsugatake. If you look up at the sky at night, you can see the Milky Way, one of the most starry skies in Japan. Camping in a world where no one will disturb you, no unnecessary lights or sounds will make you feel like you are at the center of the world.
* 2. Vast space *
BOKUYA is 7000 square meters in size
. This is approximately the size of one soccer field. You can use this space by yourself or share it with family and friends, making it the perfect space for camping with multiple families or groups of friends. There’s no one else around, so it’s a luxurious space where you don’t have to worry about what other people think. As an open-ended space that can be used for camping tourism and medium-sized events, we have also held outdoor music events and camping events for up to 100 people in the past.
* 3. Just the right retreat *
Access from Tokyo is approximately 2 and a half hours by car. Not too far, not too close, a little away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, Nobeyama, next to Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, has many hot springs, and you can clearly see Mt. Fuji along the way. There are many famous water sources nearby, so it is an environment where you can enjoy the rich blessings of nature while camping.

After over 5 years of overseas experience, I entered the agricultural industry and have been exposed to various landscapes and nature around the world and Japan. Even so, I cannot help but be captivated by the beautiful sight of Mt. Yatsugatake, which straddles Yamanashi-Nagano, and the vast fields of Nobeyama. While the unstable situation in Japan and the rest of the world, where people have come to experience nature in a society sunk amid the coronavirus pandemic, continues, we hope that as many people as possible will use this space in their own unique way. We decided to open a campsite.
In a society where people are stressed and exhausted due to
connections between people, I want to create a space where people can enjoy themselves with their loved ones and friends, and memories and emotions that can be shared just a little more in this world.
