Comment from Thomas Kennedy
Hello, Robots fans. Currently, I am preparing for UOQT2 in Utsunomiya. I am very excited to have the opportunity to represent Japan and compete for a spot at the Paris Olympics. It feels like a dream to be able to accomplish something so big. I will not be able to participate in the match against Utsunomiya, but I sincerely hope for the team’s victory. I will also do my best.
Comment from Daisuke Nishimura, Representative Director, President and GM At the strong request of the JBA, after discussions with owner Hori, HC Gressman, and Kennedy himself, Kennedy was selected for “FIBA 3×3 UOQT2,” believing that a win for the Japanese national team would lead to the development of Japanese basketball and the B League. I decided to send it out.
As a result, Kennedy will not be able to participate in the Robots’ final game of the season, against the Utsunomiya Brex. The final two games are very important for the Ibaraki Robots, but we want to fight through with the remaining members and win the B1 continuation even though Kennedy is playing.
I hope that Kennedy will do well and that the Japanese national team will earn a ticket to the Olympics.
