*The etiquette enlightenment event “Travel Quiz (R)” that started at major tourist spots in Kyoto has spread to tourist spots across the country, including Hokkaido, Okinawa, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Nara, and Shiga, and will be held on May 5th and 6th. It will be held next to Animate in Ikebukuro. *
Tourist Ship, a general incorporated association (Headquarters: Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto City, Representative: Chieko Tanaka), will be holding an etiquette awareness event called Travel Quiz (R) starting in 2023 so that both local residents and travelers can have a comfortable time. It has started.
A travel quiz event is a fun event in which a temporary booth is set up at a tourist spot, and through quizzes, travelers passing by can learn about the history, etiquette, and touristship of each region. *Touristship is the tourism version of sportsmanship, and is the attitude and behavior of being considerate of the destination, contributing to it, and enjoying interaction.

A difficult start
At first, even though we were setting up at a major tourist spot in Kyoto, the content was to educate people about manners, so we only had about 20 participants per day. However, by focusing on how to convey information in a fun way that would resonate with people, and through repeated improvements, we succeeded in creating an event that attracted people. Now, we have received requests from various local governments across the country to hold the event.*
It has been held in 14 areas* from Hokkaido to Okinawa*, with up to 350 participants* per day. And by the end of April 2024* the number of participants will exceed 10,000*
